Cookie Dough Fudge Brownies

Lisa and I have gigantic sweet teeth. In fact, we take great pride that neither of us has ever uttered the phrase, “Too sweet for me.” Grab a giant class of milk because you’re about to have the sugar rush of a lifetime when you dig into these rich chocolate brownies that are topped with soft chocolate-chip cookie dough. Clearly our idea of dessert isn’t a bowl of applesauce.

An Anti-Resolutions Theme Party

Had enough with your resolutions? Same with us…..time to throw a party! An anti-resolutions party!

Save money! Lose weight! Stop Drinking! Tired of making New Year’s resolutions you’ll forget in weeks? We sure are and that’s why we resolve to have NO resolutions this year. Yes, that means debauchery and good times all around, especially with this easy and super fun Anti-Resolutions theme party!

How to throw this party:

1) We lined the table with shiny pink pieces of scrapbook paper and used leopard print scrapbook paper as placemats.

2) At the dollar store, we stocked up on snacks, fake money, ashtrays and martini glasses.

3) Fake cigars and cigarettes were bought at Party City.

4) Take advantage of what you have in your liquor cabinet to decorate for this party – line the table with bottles of booze.

5) Have ‘Animal House’ playing on the TV.

Brunch Ideas

The best way to ring in the New Year (and recover from a fun and lively New Years party), is always a good brunch. You’re just in luck because we have the perfect menu for brunch with your closest friends and family tomorrow! Happy New Year!

New Years Eve Party: 2 Ways

This year, there are two different parties you can throw for New Years- an X-rated party, filled with 50 Shades of Grey (just in time for the movie to come out) or a family friendly version, for those of all ages. No matter what, don’t forget the champagne! Happy 2015!

FAMILY FRIENDLY: A Time Flies New Years Eve Party

Tick Tock!!! We can’t think of a better way to ring in 2014 than with this fun, chic and super affordable New Year’s Eve Bash.

How to throw this party:

1) In keeping with the time theme (time has come, time goes by, having a rare old time), collect clocks from your house for easy decoration.

2) Scatter numbers (we used stickers from Home Depot) all over the table.

3) To add to the almost-no-cost decor, get clocks from the dollar store – we used them as chargers under clear dollar store plastic plates, as additional table props and as name cards at each place setting.

X-RATED: 50 Shades of Grey Party

How to throw this party:

1) Create a Steele(y)-grey table by wrapping it in inexpensive grey suiting fabric.

2) Hit the hardware store for Shades of Grey paint chips.

3) We used wooden numbers painted in different shades of grey – 365 for our New Years Party.

4) The dollar store is a great place to stock up on plastic handcuffs, masks, black feathers, plastic chains and paper money.

5) Bunch “Red Room” roses in vases filled with shades of grey m&M candies, creating an ombre effect.
